Revenge Designs GTM-R - Auto Shows
A patchwork supercar lands on the main floor at the Detroit auto show.
Today, it seems that practically everyone who has a digital camera thinks they can be a professional photographer. Similarly, the folks at Revenge Designs in Decatur, Indiana, showed up to the 2009 North American International Auto Show with their GTM-R, calling it a supercar and promising "superior quality, impeccable fitment, unmistakable innovation, and flawless class." ("Flawless class?" What does that even mean?)Power will come from a GM Performance LS7 V-8 crate engine producing 505 hp at 6300 rpm and 470 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm. A five-speed sequential paddle-shift transmission or optional six-speed manual will power 22-inch rear wheels that look more fit for a Cadillac Escalade than track duty. Top speed is reported to be 180 mph with the five-speed box or 200 mph with the six.
